Madonna's (real) name is Madonna Louise Veronica Ciccone. She was born on August 16, 1958, in Bay City, Michigan. She studied dance at the University of Michigan. In the late 70s she moved to New York City. She acted in quite a number of films like " (desperate) seeking Susan" and "Evita". Critics believed her unfit for the role in "Evita", but she performed it (earnest) and (effective). These two films were received (good) by the public. Madonna has also become a somewhat (ambiguous) symbol of a new feminism. In 1992 her book "sex" was published. It had a lot of (provocative) photographs in it. So far she has had one (unhappy) marriage with actor Sean Penn. On December 22, 2000 she married Guy Ritchie at a (beautiful) castle in Dornoch, Scotland.
